Professor Matwyshyn regularly gives talks to both academic and government audiences. She has had the privilege of periodically assisting the public sector in technology policymaking and enforcement as a consulting expert.

She also often keynotes/presents talks at leading information security and technology industry conferences. Her first security conference talk was at BlackHat 2003.
